Overview
Trails within the Bailey Mountain Preserve very close to downtown Mars Hill, NC. Mostly narrow singletrack with occasional medium-range views.
Need to Know
A porta-john is located at the parking lot. Water sources not seen along the trails.
Description
Large parking lot at 889 Forest St. with porta-john and kiosk with map and fielding information.
Yellow Trail starts uphill through a mown grass section, then enters the woods, where the best view is 1/4-mile from the start. Turn left onto
Red Trail. Turn right onto
Blue Trail. Turn left onto
Yellow Trail for the push to the summit, 3,554 ft. above sea level. On return, get back onto
Yellow Trail and take it all the way back to the parking lot.
