Best to start at the Jack's Mountain Trailhead for parking at the northern end as the southern end connects into the paved bike trail that connect Foothill Blvd and Grandeur Peak and there is no parking available.

Mostly fairly gradual climbing/descending over almost four miles. Can loop back to your car for about a six-mile hike on the paved path or continue over to Grandeur Peak.
