Need to Know

Though this trail isn't specifically maintained for summer use, it can be used during any season. The trail is almost entirely within the boundaries of the White Mountain National Forest.

Description

Though this trail is primarily used as a snowmobile trail, it exists also exists as its own independent trail. It starts from Hastings, and crosses over the bridge. Shortly, after crossing over the bridge, the trail turns right. Most maps of this area are sketchy and show trails where they aren't.

The trail steadily climbs northward, then turns left; it doesn't continue straight as shown on most other maps. The trail travels westward towards the Maine & New Hampshire border, then turns right. It travels along the border, staying in Maine. The trail, eventually, arcs around to a dirt road that goes down to Route 2. This trail ends here; look for the Hastings Trail sign at this road junction.
