This trail starts off the Osmore Pond Picnic Connector Road and, first, travels northwest. The trail takes a sharp left turn, just south of the maintenance building. It crosses over the Telephone Line Trail, and climbs through the woods. It crests a hill and descends, slightly, towards a parking area. The trail follows the perimeter of the parking area, then turns left (uphill). Here, the trail climbs the stone stairs and ledge to the summit of Owl's Head. The fire tower was built in the '30's by the C.C.C. Owl's Head offers fine views to the west.
