Description
This trail starts of going through a gate and passes through some pasture land. There is a narrow area by the fenceline where visitors can park their vehicles. Do not block the road. The first section of this trail passes through some pasture land. The owners of the property have graciously allowed access through their pasture so people can access this amazing lake. Hikers should only enter through the gate designated for public access. Don't do anything to disturb the cattle or the pasture land to ensure continued access to this area.
Follow the route provided in the GPS track. The trail goes down into a box canyon. There is some light scrambling required, but it is easy overall. The trail leads down to the lake. Once you are at the lake, there are several routes to access different swimming areas. You can also go around the lake and see an incredible waterfall. This area has unique fish and orchids.
