Description

This white-blazed trail connects Orchard Road in a quiet residential neighborhood off Newton Road to the Naugatuck (Blue) Trail. It runs mainly through forest with some swampy areas; there are varying degrees of bridging in places but some mud is to be expected. The trail was somewhat overgrown with briars in late summer. By way of historical background, the trail is named for Gregory Roberts, a neighborhood resident who died in a tragic accident in 2000. There is a memorial plaque and bench at the far end of the trail.
