Need to Know

The easiest access is from the Elderslie Preserve parking area on the east side of Peck Hill Road (entrance is easy to miss, watch for signs just past Old Quarry Road if coming from the south or past Elderslie Lane if coming from the north). If entering the trail system from the north via the Naugatuck (Blue) Trail, be aware that the entrance is hard to find because the trail does not come off Seymour Road (route 67) itself, but rather off the 124 Seymour Road driveway (head down the driveway until it forks, head to the right, and look for the blue blazes). There are also indirect entrances from some of the residential neighborhoods to the east..

Description

This red-blazed trail runs from the Elderslie Preserve parking area mainly northeast to ultimately merge with the Naugatuck (Blue) Trail as it heads towards Bladens Brook and the Bethany Farms trails. It can serve as a gentle out-and-back route, or one limb of several potential routes using the Yellow Trail at Elderslie Preserve, Orange Trail at Elderslie Preserve, or Naugatuck (Blue) Trail.
