Clinton, Arkansas is the nearest city (15 minute drive) with most all amenities. The property is leased for hunting so take precaution during hunting season and wear orange.

Travel to the highest point on the Bluffton trail system on this hand-built spur trail that leads to a spectacular view and a backcountry campsite. This trail is narrow, but not exposed, and is great for hikers, overnight backpackers, and more experienced mountain bikers.

To access this trail you can start from any trailhead to create your own route, but the most direct would be to park at the Double Drop Falls trailhead, follow the Bluffline Trail loop, and turn onto Prickly Pear at a well-marked intersection. There are unique views in every direction, and although this trail is wonderful year round, it is particularly beautiful during fall foliage and after leaf-off.

Folks planning on staying at the backcountry campsite, aptly named "Prickly Pear Campsite", should sign in on the campsite log at the Double Drop Falls trailhead, regardless of their starting point. There is room for 2 to 3 tents, a stone bench for taking in the views, and an unreliable stream.

Keep your eye out for Prickly Pear cacti on the south side of the trail.
