Restroom located in the parking lot.

There is a small parking area on the south side of the road with a bathroom. The trail heads south from the parking lot. There is a small creek crossing just as you start. As you make your way through the grass, you'll come to a split. The trail is a loop and will come back to this spot.

Bear right to climb up to the top of the hill. Scattered trees provide some shade at this point. You'll come out on top of the hill with a wide view of an open prairie. We turned around at this point, but you can continue around the entire 2.1 mile loop.

Many birds and insects. Tall grasses, cone flowers, prickly pears, and other flowering plants.
