Description

There are technically two trails which meet up at one point, essentially creating two loops. Blue trail has a lot of uneven footing, root clusters and small boulders sticking out of the ground (typical of the Connecticut landscape). Red trail is somewhat more even underfoot but still has some large roots and small boulders. Trail is part of the GOSA project. gosaonline.org/the-merritt-…

There is a connecting trail on the western side of the trail that leads to Haley Farm State Park and a few more trails.

Chipmunks, deer, birds, deer flies are abundant.
