All of the trails in this part of the Arboretum are great for the family to explore
Description
Randall Pond Trail completely encircles it's namesake pond allowing you to view it from multiple angles. The trail is also connected to the main parking area via a spur, the road via a bridge,
Fir Hollow Trail trail, and a connecting spur that leads to the
Forest Discovery Trail.
A small dock provides an elevated view of the water and a bench provides a place to rest. Riparian flora include red-osier dogwood, alder, and willow, while the pond hosts newts and crawfish. The northwestern segment of this trail heads through spring wildflowers past the Sign Shop and into forest. Here a Japanese Alder and a Tanoak can be found.
