Description

Amadahy is a Native American word that means 'forest waters.' This trail follows Purlear Creek as it meanders down a mountain holler to a 35 foot waterfall. Leaving the waterfall, the trail climbs back up to the top of the mountain passing by rock overhangs used by deserters in the civil war.

Flora & Fauna

This forest is a good example of an acid cove type forest.
