Description
The trail begins at a pull out along highway 75. This route follows an old jeep road that was recently closed to motorized vehicles. The trail begins with a river crossing, but it isn't too bad unless you are facing peak runoff. The trail continues, crossing the
Harriman Trail. It heads up Owl Creek Canyon, following Owl Creek. The road has been thoroughly shredded to prevent motor vehicle use, but the forest service has created a nice singletrack that follows the old road. The trail ends at a beautiful high meadow at 8000 feet. From there you can take cross country routes to one of several peaks in the area.
