Description

The Fern Grotto trail is located on the Ventura River Preserve and managed by the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. On the North side the trail starts at the Wills Canyon Trail and make a climb up to the intersection of the Oso Ridge Trail and Allen Jacobs trail.

Most of the trail is in the Oak lined canyon then breaks out into the chaparral covered ridge. The trail is commonly used for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian.
