“A trail that climbs a little higher up for more elevated views of the canyon.
”
Family Friendly
Although it is less flat and narrower than the Pinnacles Trail, this is still a very easy trail with great views.
Description
This trail begins at a signed four way intersection with the Lower Walnut Trail and the Pinnacles Trail about a mile past the kiosk. This singletrack trail climbs up a small amount before turning to parallel the Pinnacles Trail.
It generally offers better views of both the river and the canyon from this elevated position. You'll pass through sage brush and past a bench at a nice overlook before the trail descends to rejoin the Pinnacles Trail.
Note, some older maps either don't include this trail or have it labeled as "D and H" but it is clearly marked at both ends.
