The parking lot gate is closed half an hour after sunset.

The trail is not signed, but clearly marked on the sign for nearby Ledik Trail. It starts at a break in the fencing around the parking area and climbs up in loose sand.

There is a connection to the road, but the trail turns north (left) to climb a little more into the Sitka spruce and shore pines. It continues to climb in short switchbacks to the top of a narrow ridge and follows that further through the trees.

It ends at Du'k Trail and provides an easier route than that trail from the separate parking area.
