The Maeda River is a clear stream formed by gathering the clean water and spring water of Mt. Ogusu, and is one of the few rivers with a natural environment. With this precious nature as a property shared by the citizens, it has been constructed over 1.4km out of a total length of 3.35km as a nature-friendly promenade where you can fully enjoy the "green and murmuring space" in the riverbed throughout the four seasons.

The starting point of the promenade, Okunibashi, is about 200m from the Maedabashi bus stop on Route 134 toward Ogusuyama. If you go down the stairs from here and go a little upstream, you'll see stone steps (fishway). From this area, the bright sunlight is blocked by the trees, creating a world full of nature at once. Waterside creatures such as small fish and crabs show up in Kawase. From the midpoint, you can go to the Mt. Ogusu trail.

The second half of the trail has been closed for a while after a small landslide. The open section of the trail runs from the start at Okunibashi to the trail going up Mt.Ogusu.
