Description

The trail begins with a tough climb through a recent clearcut and can be difficult to find at first. Pink and black is the official blaze color of the HRT and, through the clearcut where no permanent signage remains, flagging tape should be visible in order to guide you through.

Most people hike from Mission creek to the Grand View (in the Okanagan High Rim Trail: Segment 5 - James Lake FSR to Goudie FSR) which takes in varying terrain as well as areas of dry pine forest and wet cedar microclimates.

There is a hill dubbed "cardiac hill" that isn't nearly as bad as it sounds, especially if only carrying a light backpack.
