An interesting segment of the Okanagan High Rim trail but without as many excellent views as some of the other segments. The Monolith has geological significance as it is a glacial erratic deposited here by a long-receded glacier.
While there are few through-hikers on the High Rim Trail, this segment is accessible from the Oyama Lake Lodge Road Trailhead from which a short 2-3 km one-way hike will bring you to the Monolith. The terrain is rolling here with some short ups and downs as you hike from minor "peak" to minor "peak."
