Need to Know
Standard State Park daily fee or annual pass is required, additional fee information is available on the State Park website.
Description
Heading North from the trailhead you pass through a dry wash prior to beginning the climb up a mostly smooth trail with some sections of loose rocks. There is an option for an additional loop trail and also a scenic overlook at the end of an additional short out and back trail.
There are some moderate inclines and declines along the way that take you through desert grasses and into a section of the wash that has larger trees and shade. The trails are clearly marked and there are several spots to stop and take in the panoramic views.
Flora & Fauna
You'll see a variety of plants along the way including barrel cactus, prickly pear, desert grasses, and scrub oak among others.
