Description

The direction of travel on this trail now changes monthly. Hikers are instructed to hike in the opposite direction.

The trail has a gravelly tread most of the way, from a mix of naturally rocky river bottom soil and some added stone. Overall, the tread surface is quite smooth. Some spots will remain wet or soft many days after a rain, even after the trails have been opened.

The route makes good use of the terrain, rolling up and down over ridges and in and out of ravines. But none of the climbs are steep for long. Lots of drainage dips have been built into the trail.
