There is a fee for parking: $1/hour or $5/day; cash only. Payment envelopes are available at the kiosk in front of the restrooms.

This short loop is accessed from the Pine Flatwoods Trail Loop and takes you through the palmetto forest. The western-most section follows along a utility right-of-way that is also a horse trail. There may be flooded sections, but otherwise it is flat and easy to hike on. If you continue on north of this trail along the horse trail, you can cross the road and hike on the Caloosahatchee Regional Park North trails, such as Calcutta Ridge and Sunburn Meadow.
