Dogs Leashed
Need to Know
Wear blaze orange during hunting seasons. Permits are needed for horses and mountain bikes.
Description
This trail can be used by hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers. As such, there are muddy spots created by horses, but is otherwise in good condition. The trail will take hikers over hills and through valleys, but spends most of its time at the higher elevations.
Views will be limited when leaves are on, and some segments of trail through open areas may be crowded by vegetation. The trail uses a section of gravel road, which T's at CR 810. Be careful when hiking along CR 810.
There is a section of trail that leaves CR 810 to the north, and crosses back in a few tenths of a mile, but it may be overgrown and not worth the hassle. Stay on the road for an easier hike and fewer ticks. A couple of back-country camping areas can be found along the trail.
