Description

This is a segment of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail ( waterfronttrail.org/) and the Rideau Trail ( rideautrail.org/) that crosses through downtown Kingston.

This route is mainly paved and passes near many historic sites and features of the Kingston area, including: Confederation Park, Kingston City Hall, Shoal Tower, Murney Tower, MacDonald Memorial Park, Breakwater Park, Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, and Lake Ontario Park. The start of this segment is also the start of the K&P Trail (see Waterfront Pathway / K&P Trail).

At the terminus of this route, the Waterfront Pathway continues westwards along the waterfront while the Rideau Trail turns north to Marshlands Conservation Area.
