A pretty hike on an unmarked wooded trail through what was once a fruit and vegetable farm.

Features Birding · Fall Colors · Historical Significance

The trail area is used by bowhunters October 1 through December 31. I was here on a Tuesday at midday and saw no hunters.

Description

This is an undeveloped park with no maps available and the trails are not marked. The paths were pretty easy to locate, but there are more than I found (3 miles total).

In fall the aspen, maple, and beech trees contrast beautifully with scattered pines. Park features include a free u-pick blueberry field, a small pond, wetlands, dunes, a historic homestead with outbuildings, a picnic gazebo, and a porta-potty.

Flora & Fauna

I saw deer and several kinds of birds. There are aspen, maple, beech, and pine trees, as well as blueberry bushes.
