To access Mount Roraima you need either a local guide or to go on a tour. Local guides can be found for cheap in Paraitepuyn (the launching point for all trips).
Description
This section of the trail is the one that heads deep into Guyana.
Along the way you first encounter some bathing pools and the source of the Paikwã River. Continue along past some more bathing pools.
Shortly you come to a huge viewpoint looking off to the east. From here the trail turns northwest, where you soon come to Lake Gladys (the only body of water large enough to be called a lake on the mountain).
After the lake you pass the remnants of a helicopter crash that happened back in 1998. The trail finally ends at a viewpoint that looks West across the Tepuis.
