Family Friendly Hiking around the Craters of the Moon with your family feels like you have journeyed to the moon and earth is a distant place. This unique and wonderful area is a prime memory-making adventure to go!

Description

A popular, paved path, winds through ash hills, lava outcrops (some steep-sided and quite high), and vegetated areas where bushes and limber pines have established. Interpretive signs, along the way, describe some of the environmental "issues" affecting this fragile landscape. On this short trek, you can expect to learn: (1) How to be a good neighbor (2) Country air (3) Pulse of the Park (4) Airborn particles (5) Walking softly
