Description

This loop, mostly asphalt but with some concrete, is the maximum distance around the park. There are several shortcuts available to shorten up the distance if desired.

The lake and park serve primarily as floodwater detention for upper Brays Bayou. The trail begins at the primary parking lot just off of Eldridge Parkway at Westpark Drive. The trail runs to the Fiorenza Low Water Bridge; if it is closed due to high water you can cross to the north at the parking lot.

The trail loops around the north detention basin with several connections to the local neighborhood before coming to Mount Fiorenza. The trail then runs west to Highway 6, where there is an underpass to points west. The trail continues around the border of the park back to the primary parking lot.
