Description

This trail starts off alongside Hickory Trace and is a straight shot through the heart of Russell Uplands Preserve. Although being the shortest trail in the park, it has a slight descent throughout (or incline if hiking back).

It briefly meets up with Lake Trace before veering back southwest alongside a creek bed. All three trails in this preserve meet up at their terminuses in the northwest corner of the park.

Flora & Fauna

This upland forest is primarily deciduous with beech, oak, and maple trees. Check out the northernmost Lake Trace for spruce and pine trees in the northernmost sections of the park near OH-87.
