There is another smaller section that also extends north to a picnic area. The street and road bridge must be crossed from here to access that portion.

Description

Begin at the paved parking lot for Happy Valley Park and following the trail into the woods along the flowing Yadkin River to a steel bridge near a small island. As the trails continues to curve around, it crosses over a small branch of the river and proceeds a short distance farther where it ends near the same road as the trailhead.
