This trail starts from the parking area off Route 3 and runs southwest along it. It turns right and runs along a small ridge edge until it drops down to Neil Tillotson Shelter. The water source here isn't always reliable. The trail winds its way along Round Pond Brook until it reaches Round Pond Road.
