This trail is very steep and some parts of the trail are very lose rock and can be a tripping hazard. The trail is above the tree line so there is no shade. There is a natural spring at the trailhead if you need to get a drink before starting.

Once on the summit you can fallow the trail south along the ridgeline of the Sharr Mountains. There is a small lake about two miles south of the summit that you can see. It's great for swimming if you don't mind the cold.

You'll see cows and sheep.
