Description
A well-signed trail that is usually cool on a hot day. The beautiful Gorge du Chaudron has multiple waterfalls and cascades as the trail ascends to the village of Les Avants.
Starting from the Montreux train station, proceed upward on the well-signed "trail" (originally on the streets of Montreux) upwards toward the start of the Gorges. After leaving the town, the trail leads through thick canopy and is well-maintained, including hand rails and steps where necessary, for the first couple of kilometers. Yellow signs with remaining travel times direct you towards the town of Les Avants as you climb past multiple waterfalls and historic stone bridges.
