Family Friendly This trail runs along the old tow path on the Erie Canal. It is flat. Wooded on one side. You pass an aqueduct mid way.

Need to Know

Make sure to stop by the museum if it is open. And watch for the canal cat. He is friendly.

Description

This path includes the small nature trail to the side. Most of the trail is flat and level. There is parking on either end of the trail. If you take the nature trail, it is well worn, not a wide, and a lot of tree roots in the trail. If you want more, you can cross the bridge near the museum and go down the other side of the canal.

fish, frogs, and turtles in the canal. Birds in the woods.
