Description
This trail is a great mix way to stretch the legs. It includes some relatively steep terrain, but the short length makes this an easily approachable trail. I recommending taking the trail in a clockwise manner. This will leave the lake access for last.
From the parking lot follow the light blue blazes. You'll round the lake just on the northern tip and cross a small bridge. Here you'll find the split in the trail. It is a loop trail, so either direction will work. The rest of the description is as if you had gone in a clockwise manner. The trail will begin with a slow and steady climb for the first 3/4 miles where the trail increases grade to a fairly stiff climb.
Once reaching the ridge the trail turns right and runs along the ridge for about a quarter mile. The trail will turn downhill and continue until you run directly into the lake. Once reaching the water the trail will turn right again and continue along the shore. The trail will eventually lead back to the "T" intersection with itself, completing the loop. Turn left and continue out to the parking lot.
