Description

This trail starts a little ways north of the parking area on Nash Stream Road. It follows a short road, then crosses over a snowmobile bridge. It runs fairly level out to Sugarloaf Arm Trail It turns right, following Arm of Sugarloaf Snowmobile Trail. Eventually, the snowmobile trail turns left and Sugarloaf Mountain Trail continues straight and to the right.

It follows a rough washed-out section, then travels along the high banks of the brook. After a steep climb, the trail comes out into a clearing. Here, in the clearing, you can still see remnants of the old hermit's cabin. It climbs along the spine of the ridge up to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. This is usually a quiet mountain top to catch some excellent views.
