Need to Know

The park is predator free, and the council works hard to protect the birds (like kiwi) that they've reintroduced here. They ask that you clean your bike and tires before entering the park, and no pets of any kind are allowed.

Description

Like the North Coast Track, this isn't the most exciting trail in the world, but the views are outstanding. The surface is a mix of dense grass and dirt road. White markers will guide you along the way.

This trail rolls up and down with some steep but short hills along the way. It meanders along the southern edge of the park, opening up to some expansive views out over Kawau Bay at the high points.
