Soft trail system with narrow and wide trails that meander through a maritime forest and eventually comes to a point overlook overlooking Owl Creek.

Small formal parking lot at the end of VA Ave. and tons of formal on street parking along Marshview Drive. Eventually their will be an additional parking lot at the end of Indian Rd. Once you are on the soft trails their are multiple spur trails you can go on to.

The trail currently has two main trail heads; one from VA Ave. Parking lot and the other from Marshview Drive. Part of the trail, the straightest section is a wide asphalt path that traverses two small creeks with well built and formal bridges. As the trail continues east past the VA Parking lot side, there is a wide soft trail that is about 1/4 of a mile towards the point. This is natural overlook of the tidal wetlands and marsh area along Owl Creek and the surrounding areas. The trail turns west and heads back towards Marshview Drive along a natural path surrounded by a relatively young forest comprised of live oaks, lob lolly pines and other species of oaks etc. eventually the tight path gives way to dense forest and a wider path with some man made terrain areas to traverse.

At the first intersection you come to by staying on this one main trail, you'll continue straight. At the next intersection you'll make a left. Continue west on this trail and you'll see more man made terrain like jumps to the right. Keep the jumps to your right and the trail will go around them and eventually put you back on the asphalt trail by one of the bridges. The trail has beautiful sights, sounds, smells and an abundance of wildlife, especially at the point, certain times of year. North of the asphalt trail across the creek their is construction taking place as the City is formalizing that part of the park property. Eventually their will be more formalized trails, a dog park, a playground, and a shelter or two.

Live Oaks, Lob Lolly's,, Hickory and white oaks, sweet gums, wild flowers, sweet bay magnolia. Many song birds as well as wetland and migratory birds along the marsh areas. Lots of lizards/skinks, squirrels, fox, raccoons, etc.

There is an archaeological dig of an old historical home nestled in the woods but very hard to find.
