Part of South Mountain State Park.

Description

Take the trailhead to the right through the field to cross the creek and then follow the gravel path to climb the hill leading to a lovely little waterfall behind the lake. Expect a few creek crossings with accommodating rocks to keep boots dry. Continuing around the lake is flat and part gravel before reaching a dam and descent to the parking area.

Flora & Fauna

Enormous trees by picnic tables near parking. Water related wildlife.Wildflowers. Pileated Woodpeckers.
