Lasso is located near Mountain's Edge and it's a great hike for you plus some friends hiking on a lot of doubletrack. This hike is also very group friendly and it's really fun—it will definitely get you sweating and you'll have a great time as there's a lot of awesome views!

It begins with some gravel areas that are a great warm up that leads into some hilly areas, then some downhill, then back to some hilly areas. Toward the end of the hike, you have a nice, big hill to really test yourself at about 6 miles in. Then it's just views on your way back.

New housing development moves the trailhead back. You can now park directly on Gomer Rd.

Lasso is a trail for views and fun—a loop to test your ability great for training for long trail hikes. Lasso has a variety of different terrains, starting off with a very gravelly portion that starts in the first 3 miles. Then you head into some elevation gain and find yourself going up hills, and then you have a nice descent.

Once you hit about 6 miles, there's a fantastic hill to test your abilities—this big daddy will give you a nice burn. After that, there is a nice descent followed by views on your way home.
