Description
The trail starts at the trail map board aside the parking lot and quickly leads into the woods and past some nice rock outcroppings just behind the nature center. The rocks gather icicles in the wintertime and are easy to explore. The trail continues to wind down into the valley giving an occasional glimpse of the lake in wintertime. This segment of the trail ends at the waypoint sign "M".
The trail is narrow and channels a lot of water, so it can stay muddy and crowded by vegetation. This hiking area is best after the leaves have dropped.
