Overview
This trail is mostly easy but has an incline as you approach the falls. This is a great hike to do in the summer when it's warmer. There are numerous creek crossings along the way, so prepare to have wet feet.
Description
Just before mile marker 24 on Knoxvill Road, park across from the green gate. The trail and the falls runs through the Knoxville Wildlife Area.
From the gate, follow the wide dirt road which parallels Zim Zim Creek. Be prepared to get wet feet, as there are numerous creek crossings along the way.
After a couple of miles of hiking, you'll reach an intersection with a large boulder. Take a right to head uphill and at the next intersection take a left to get a view of the 100+ foot tall Zim Zim Falls. On your return trip, if you want to view the falls from below, you take a right at the Boulder to head up the creek. It's a bit "off-trail" here. From below you can enjoy the falls.
Return the way you came, following the road back down to the gate.
