Dogs Off-leash

Family Friendly This easy but sometimes muddy trail is great for the whole family—especially the dog.

Gates close at night and open at 6 AM. A $5 day use fee is required starting 2020

Need to Know

This is an off-leash dog park. If you don't like dogs it's best to avoid.
Parking fills up very fast.

Description

This trail begins just after the pull-in parking area and before the vault toilets. Near the parking area dogs must be on leash, but can enjoy the freedom to explore thereafter (minus within 100 feet of Confluence Trail). This trail begins by winding through forest, and past a myriad of informal trails before it straightens out to parallel 1000 Acre Road. It continues through forests after turning right to parallel Meadow Road. The thick underbrush means dogs have less space to run than on the meadow trails. Finally this trail crosses Old Channel Trail, Confluence Trail, a mess of connector trails, and ends at Boundary Trail under the power lines.
