Overview

This hike begins at the Judge Davis Trailhead and ends at the Redbud Trailhead and provides unsurpassed views of Wilson Valley and Jack Canyon.

Need to Know

Bring water shoes and a wading staff to assist in the two creek crossings.

Description

This hike traverses the lower elevation portion of the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, and makes two fords of Cache Creek.

For more than half the year, Cache Creek is not fordable by the casual hiker. Trail has clay mud when wet; let dry for three or more days after rain before doing this hike.

If you would like to make this a multi-day outing, there are several backpack camp locations along the route.
