Description
Leaving
Weaver Lake Trail #30E09, head south further up through the sequoia grove. After about half a mile, you'll cross Stony Creek and reach Poison Meadow. After another half mile, views south and west slowly open up and the trail becomes more of a granite scree field. At 1.5 miles, the trail bends east and descends for just a bit before ascending again to Poop Out Pass. Reach
Stony Creek Trail at 2.5 miles and Poop Out Pass at 3 miles. The pass itself is very unimpressive without any views and in fact it's hard to tell where exactly the pass is.
Descend on the northern side of the Kings-Kaweah Divide across a large area of granite scree. Bottom out at roughly 4 miles as the trail enters forest again. From here, the trail ascends steadily. Reach Jennie Lake at 4.5 miles. The lake is a little south of the trail with plenty of great camping spots along the northern shore. Continue further to the top of the Kings-Kaweah Divide. As you reach JO Pass, some good views are towards the south into Sequoia National Park.
