“This is an official canyon bottom-to-top trail that isn't found on every Steens map.

This was a great way to get from the bottom of the canyon to the road in early June 2019 as the main Little Blitzen Gorge Trail was washed out due to heavy runoff from the waterfall just to the east of this trail. Unlike the Nye Trail, the start of this one didn't have any physical trail markings that we could find.
The exact path of the trail might differ slightly from what I submitted since I used our GPS tracks and the upper part of the trail was covered in a few feet of snow forcing us to do a little guesswork. We also ended up crossing the river so the uppermost 0.3 miles was hand drawn to approximate the official map version.
