Description
Wichita is lacking on space for animals to live and this is one of those tiny spaces. At 25 acres of wooded land, Oak Park is a haven for deer, racoon, opossum and many bird species. The main trail through the park is quite wide and a peaceful escape from the city. There are countless deer trails throughout the park and I've only captured the main ones. The park gets very overgrown off the beaten path in the summertime and poison ivy is very thick in there, so use caution.
Around the outside of the woods is a disc golf course.
Flora & Fauna
Cottonwood and Oak trees, some massive poison ivy bushes, deer, raccoon, opossum, and many bird species
