Lower Kanob is a one-way trail (ridden counterclockwise) for mountain bikers. It is also open to hikers and trail runners so be aware that other users may be encountered while traveling in some sections. There is also a wet weather closure program in place at Rattlesnake Ridge.
Need to Know
There are no trash cans or bathrooms on site. Please pack out what you pack in. The closest amenities are about 1 mile away at Pinnacle Mountain State Park.
Description
Once you turn onto Lower Kanob from Mountain Boomer, there is a short climb to access the top of a small knob and the first rocky section.
As you work your way downhill, you'll come to a bridge that puts you right out into the narrowest trail on the preserve. Follow this singletrack on a short and easy climb that ends just below the Lower Kanob. As you make your way downhill into a tight right turn, be sure to look back to the north for an amazing view of the summit of Rattlesnake Ridge!
