Dogs Leashed
Features
Birding · Fall Colors · River/Creek · Wildflowers · Wildlife
Some portions of this nature hike goes over raised wooden boardwalks, and other areas are rough gravel.
Need to Know
There are no restrooms but several garbage bins located throughout the nature trail. It may be difficult to bike or push a stroller through many of the non-paved trails. Some of the boardwalks can be thin, so just be aware that you may have to occasionally squeeze past other guests and their leashed dogs.
Description
This is a beautiful little nature trail. It starts in the Birdsong neighborhood, and there is a small gravel lot with parking. There is a large open field surrounded by paved paths, and there are sometimes folks playing soccer or frisbee in the large field. The hike itself goes over wooden boardwalks, dirt path, and some gravel. It's a quiet, calm, and relaxing hike! The only downside is that I wish it was longer! I like doubling back at the end to make it a longer outing.
Flora & Fauna
Deer, birds, squirrels. Have seen heron and lots of mallards.
