You must park on the other side of the river near the beginning point of the trail. There are cafes in both Vrine, Shendelli, Xarre, and across the Vivar Channel in Butrint.

This trail is not easy and is not often well defined. It is a beautiful, untouched area of Butrint National Park with many sites to see. At the beginning, you'll have to cross a river before beginning the hike. However, it is absolutely beautiful with turns into forest and dry-land. There are many thorns on this trail so pants and good shoes are recommended.

You'll pass an old communist-era pool, and through a grove of oak trees. At the end, you'll be rewarded with a great view of the Island of Tongo, and if you want to cut off the trail to explore the other fjords, this is highly doable but also difficult. There are great beaches to be discovered down here that are relatively untouched by tourists.

You'll encounter wild bulls and cows, fish, and many different species of birds. There is also potential to see foxes and other small types of wildlife. You'll encounter different types of forests and different thorny plants as well as wild vegetables.
